The Startup Events is a monthly event that brings together hundreds of London startup founders, investors, and a rich mix of startups, scaleups, late-stage tech businesses, academia, and the public sector and it's completely free to attend!

This event is a informal, network-focused event, in other words, it’s a place to network and grow your business while having a blast! 💃

Who are we expecting?

Around 100+ attendees are joining us in this event and we’re hoping you’re one of them! That being said the attendees consists of :

• 60% of them being founders,

• 15% investors,

• 25% other industry professionals.

Meet the Speakers:

Moderator: Dean Williams from Goldsmith University will lead the uncensored fireside chat. His background in business consultancy and focus on aiding the disadvantaged will provide insightful views into the startup world, unveiling the untold stories of entrepreneurship.

Emma Sayle - Founder | CEO | KK Group - | Killing Kittens | Safedate | WeareX app

Emma is one of the UK’s leading female entrepreneurs. She made her name launching the global female empowerment brand Killing Kittens in 2005, now incorporated into the KK Group with over 150,000 members having launched events across the US, Australia and Europe and has grown online into an online community network with sexual empowerment at its core. April 2023 saw the group launch the world's first sex positive social dating app WeareX

Sam Simpson - Founder and CEO at FounderCatalyst

Sam is a seasoned entrepreneur, Angel Investor, and Board Advisor known for his operational and delivery-focused approach, backed by 26 years of extensive experience.

As the Founder and CEO of FounderCatalyst, he has pioneered the ONLY affordable fixed-price method for funding round legals tailored for startups. Concurrently, Sam serves as the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at Forge Technologies.

Thomas J Vosper - Aisle 3

Thomas J Vosper is not your typical entrepreneur; he's a trailblazer, a risk-taker, and a mastermind behind innovative ventures that redefine the boundaries of business. Thomas's entrepreneurial journey is a testament to his no-nonsense approach and frugal mentality that transforms challenges into opportunities.

🛺 Became a first-time founder at 40 and a CEO of a multinational corporation, Raised over $1.5m of investment from international VC's, family offices, and some of the most credible subject matter experts Angel Investors. Built one of Europe's largest digital shopping businesses and sold it to a large European-based incumbent in an all-cash deal after running an in-house auction in less than 7 days.

David Pearce - CEO Decodifi, Co-Founder Angel Track

David is a physician turned developer. He has built and exited two SaaS companies over the last 12 years and been an early-stage angel investor since 2015. He now mentors and sits on the board of successful start-ups in the medical, education and legal sectors.

David is passionate about helping founders reach their goals of getting investment but even more importantly having fun along the way because if it's not fun, it's not worth doing!

Perdie Alder - Co-Founder Hotbed 🚀

Perdie Alder has been an active force in the startup ecosystem, dedicating her efforts to building and accelerating startups since 2006. Currently, she holds the position of Co-founder and Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at Hotbed, a platform and community designed for ambitious startups seeking growth. Notably, she is a proud investor in startups like Saarey and Aura Fertility, demonstrating her dedication to fostering innovation.

🚀 Introducing our fast-paced, high-energy pitching session, where every second counts! ⏱️

Have a groundbreaking idea or startup? 💡 You'll have 60 seconds to make your pitch to our founders and a select group of investors. 🌟 Impress us, and you could be on the path to partnership and investment. 💰 But be warned: time waits for no one! ⏳ If your pitch doesn't hit the mark, it's NEXT. 👋 Get ready for an exhilarating challenge that tests your ability to think on your feet and communicate with impact.

Participation Details:

If you’re a Founder, Investor, or work for a startup, you’re welcome to join this session. Your pitch shouldn’t be longer than a minute. Submissions will be accepted on a rolling basis, so please make us aware through the use of your Eventbrite signup (Tick Yes to be Involved in Pitching), email us ([email protected]), or let us know upon arrival if you want to take part. 📩

The submission deadline is at 18:00pm, The first pitch will begin promptly at 7:00 pm, and the final pitch will conclude before 9:30 pm.🕖

8 startups will be able to do a 1-min pitch followed by a Live Q&A (We will be using the Slido app) 🤝📱 and Networking opportunities will be available during intervals between sessions. 🤝🌐

The selection of those who pitch will be randomised for each session of the night. 🎰🌙

The Top Two Pitches will also have the opportunity to be entered into our prize draw which would allow them to Win £500 Discount voucher on Founder Catalyst services.
